Last week a very nice client of ours sent this photo. We had a rough week, customs made us suffer for a few hours... but in the end, our clients make it all worth it when they tell us how much they enjoy receiving their flowers!

Spring is here!!

Some moms at RE were preparing a luncheon for the moms and asked if we could provide some flowers for the event. They wanted gerbers in spring colors. We never imagined what a beautiful transformation they would achieve in the school cafeteria. Great idea for a spring party!!!

My house with flowers

Ok, so one may think that because my husband imports flowers and has been in the business for so many years, and because now Annette and I have this business, my house is always full of flowers.... well, NO!
Unfortunately no.
Last week, however, my husband had a meeting with some grocery stores and had a million samples of all kinds of beautiful flowers. And I got to bring some home. Some clients, and new clients stopped by and took advantage of this great opportunity and got flowers at great prices.
So here is how my house looks with flowers!! I love it. I may have to order some for myself more often.

Keeping up with our growing business, the kids, their multiple activities, and now THE HOLIDAYS, has been a challenge. But here we are, thankful for this year that is ending so wonderfully, and happy to have such great friends, families and now.... clients!

The Miami Herald article (Nov 30th) had an amazing impact. The calls have not stopped, and the client list continues to grow. We are now traveling farther than we ever planned, and very happy to do so.

No posting can go without some pictures, so we are putting some holiday ideas for you. Next week you will be receiving some of these flowers, so these may come handy.

.... right up our alley!!! Isn't this what we have been saying all along??? And the writer even wrote the following:

Adorn with fresh flowers for $25: It's the one thing those design magazines always seem to have in photos that real lifers don't: a vase of flowers. Whether it's a vase full of tulips or rhodondendrons, or one filled with tall grass and lilies, fresh flowers instantly enliven a room".

This is Flowers at your Door

I thought my post today could introduce us to all our clients (and future clients!).
This is us: Annette Dobrinsky and Monica Pardo. We are Flowers at your Door.
We started our business about a year ago and it has been quite an experience!

With our kids in school, and full of energy to begin a new stage in our lives, we put our heads together and came up with this beautiful and rewarding business that we love so much.

Drawing on our experiences, in the areas of marketing communications (Monica) and Business Management (Annette), and with the support of our husbands and kids, we embarked on this project.

Our website was developed entirely in Colombia by a great guy who has been invaluable to our business development. The graphics and pictures were done by us. The beautiful pictures you see throughout our site, were taken by us with the help of a photographer friend, and two great friends who let us use their houses as locations.

And so we began. Now, almost a year later, we are happy to re-launch our site, to incorporate all the learnings of the past year, and to keep up with the ever changing e-commerce technology.

We stand by our products. We are proud of what we offer and are sure you will love our flowers. Mostly, we want to be there for you, to advise you on what flower to pick, how much to buy, how to care for them. Visit our site. And most importantly: Let us know what you think!!
